Where farmer, soil and biodiversity come together

In the Kop van Noord-Holland we work together with farmers and volunteers to increase biodiversity on fields, grasslands and farms. In this landscape insects and farmland birds such as partridges and black-tailed godwits feel at home, the soil is fertile and the water is clean. And our farmers? They are proud of their company, their land and their products, now and in the future.

The soil is literally our foundation: the foundation of future-proof companies and the foundation of nature. Healthy soil retains water better and is fertile. Crops grow well on it, just like the herbs in our grasslands and the flowers along the fields. The herbs and flowers provide life: all kinds of insects like to stay there. These insects help keep the pest pressure in the crops low. And they are a source of food for our farmland birds.

Taking good care of nature is not possible without clean water. We move with climate change and have an eye for economic prospects. This is how we work on the future: for farmers and biodiversity!
